Espresso Academy India was launched in 2023 and brings the same high quality coffee courses from "bean to brew" covering areas such as: green coffee, roasting, cupping and coffee sensory, brewing, barista skills, as well as mixology and cafe management courses.

Specialty Coffee
Association “SCA”

The Specialty Coffee Association “SCA”, is an organization that sets recognized professional standards for those who want to start on a journey in the world of coffee, from plantation to cup, and above all, on the scientific side of coffee and coffee specialty. SCA certifications are recognized all over the world.

Certification exams are held on five training areas: Coffee Introduction, Green Coffee, Tasting, Roasting, Barista and Brewing and on three levels: Foundation, Intermediate, and Professional.

The Italian Barista Certificate “IBC” is a certified and accredited training protocol used all over the professional coffee world, for those who work, want to work or wish to open a coffee related startup.

IBC focuses on the real needs of the coffee operator, barista or roaster. All study topics (barista, latte art, brewing and roastig) are based on a practical training protocol. Theory is carried out before the course, with an online training system. The time in the classroom is dedicated to practice and skill improvement.

Obtaining an Italian Barista Certificate and the “Coffee specialist” degree, means being a certified barista, roaster, brewer and taster with all the needed skills to work as a coffee professional.

The IBC will be structured in 3 areas:

  • Roasting & Cupping
  • Sensory
  • Brewing
  • Barista and Latte art

We are currently only offering two levels: Junior and Advanced
